The Aquagold® Fine Touch™ involves the use of a special device to deliver hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, vitamins and growth factors into the skin. In order to improve pores, textural issues and age-related concerns, these ingredients are deposited with the help of twenty fine, hairline needles. The treatment combines microneedling with the principle of mesotherapy, and can also be used in conjunction with Anti-Wrinkle medication for lines under the eyes.

Conventional mesotherapy and microneedling procedures utilise relatively thin needles; however, the Aquagold® Fine Touch™ device painlessly channels fine droplets of pure, skin nourishing ingredients into the superficial dermis. This allows for lighter treatments that are less traumatic to the tissues, which in turn means that the treatment has less downtime in comparison to other, more traditional options. As each needle is plated with 24 carat hypoallergenic gold, the device also works to decrease skin puffiness and encourage faster healing.

1What does the Aquagold® treatment involve?
The Aquagold Facial London device can be used around the eyes, throughout the face, neck, hands and décolleté. Before the procedure begins, all treatable areas will be thoroughly cleansed with alcohol, and for your comfort, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the skin. Typically, the procedure itself takes up one hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. Thereafter, the hairline needles will be attached to a vial of selected ingredients and this will be applied in a ‘stamp’ fashion onto the skin. Up to two passes of the device may be performed for maximum ingredient penetration.
2How does the Aquagold® work?
Both microneedling and microchanneling ingredients into the skin can stimulate the production of collagen through the combination of a controlled wound healing response, together with the infusion of collagen-boosting actives. The Aquagold’s needles penetrate to a depth of 0.6mm within the skin, optimising these benefits at an ideal location within the dermis. The device also acts to rehydrate skin cells, as each connected vial typically contains hyaluronic acid, which can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water.
3What skin problems can the Aquagold® treat?

The Aquagold® Fine Touch™ can treat the following conditions:

  • Open pores
  • Fine lines (especially if combined with Anti-Wrinkle Injection medication)
  • Textural issues
  • Skin dryness
  • Collagen and elastin depletion
  • Pigmentation
  • Hair loss

4What are the Aquagold® benefits and how far-reaching are the results?
The benefits of Aquagold® treament can be appreciated as early as 5-7 days after treatment. Improvements in overall skin clarity, tone, texture and elasticity can be observed, especially in delicate areas of facial skin, for e.g. around the eyes. For hair loss applications, results may take more repeated sessions and/or more time to come to fruition. Our practitioners will be glad to advise you further.

Prior to undergoing an Aquagold® Fine Touch™ treatment, the skin will be cleansed of makeup and impurities. If required, topical anaesthesia will be applied for up to 30 minutes. It will then be cleansed and sanitised in advance of treatment, which involves the use of a special 'stamp' device to deliver a range of ingredients into the skin. These ingredients, which are pre-selected by our practitioners in accordance with treatment goals, are deposited into the skin’s superficial dermal layers, making the treatment very tolerable. After this, the skin will be cleansed and protected with an SPF of at least 30. Mineral makeup can be applied and daily activities resumed.
